So we went to the Doctor for the first time last Thursday, Jan 29, 2009. Karen got a physical and did some blood work, but the best part was that we got our first Sonogram. It was really cool and we did get to see and hear the baby's heartbeat. Everything looked normal and she was officially at 7 weeks. Baby due date is Sept 16th if all goes as planned. I will post the Sonogram once I get it scanned. Kevin

Zygote sizing 101

So Karen IM'd me today and said that Baby G is about the size of a Sesame seed. For reference I have posted this pic of a Jelly Belly jelly bean and a pen. A Sesame seed is about a 1/4 of the size of this Jelly Bean. Although very cool, it's not very big. I don't think I will be heading out to play catch or build a snowman with baby G just yet. Guess I will have to wait a little longer. -Kevin

Jan 10, 2009..... We Just found out!

So here we are folks, Karen and I have just confirmed with the 2nd pregnancy test (that showed in like 2 seconds) that we are going to have a baby! Woooowhooo! It's a little nerve wracking, VERY exciting and a very new adventure. My thoughts have been running wild since last night when Karen initially told me. It was an emotional moment, but very cool nonetheless. -Kevin
